waffuport: (How'd you get down there?)

1-choo!

Action;1766 Beaver Street
[While finding herself in strange new settings isn't very surprising at all, waking up in bed with completely different clothes is. So if her brand new family doesn't hear her in her room going "What? What? What??" like some sort of one-trick parrot, or the occasional "Hello?" as she wanders through the house, they'll find her still in her pajamas, investigating the fridge. Open, close. Open...close. Open--ooh is that an apple?]

I wonder who made this box so cold?

Phone
--'s this? Is it a gadget? Maybe if I do something it'll talk! Hmm...

[This is followed by the sound of her apparently playing with the dial.]

Hello? Hello? Mister Gadget, can you hear me? I wonder if Meg would know how it worked.

Yes we would. However, if we cut those wires to save our voices then we can't communicate with other people far away. We'd have to think up a strategy.

Maybe we could push them out somehow because we'd still be able to breath right? Unless our breath got stuck into the phone. That would be really bad.

[There is giggling heard over the phone.]

I'm sorry Viki, I was joking about all that. Your voice can't get caught in the wires, it's impossible. I'm sure there will be someone here who can explain this kind of technology to you that will make sense.

Nope, you won't. That would be a terrible way to lose your voice, wouldn't it?

We're safe from the phones, at least. Being serious now, I have heard to at least be prepared for the worst. I haven't been here very long so I can't confirm anything, but having heard that from more than one source I do believe that we should be psychologically prepared for anything.

I don't know myself. So far I haven't run into anything dangerous, but you never know with the kind of game we're in.

A game was the first thing I thought of, but it's not a game that sounds all innocent and fun. Yes, please be careful, but if we want out we'll probably have to take a few risks.

It's a wonderful prize if you win. So let's work hard to win this, okay?
